The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, the largest venue of the tournament, saw nearly 165,000 spectators. Highlights included the high-stakes matches between Pakistan and India, drawing 34,028 fans, and the US versus India, attracting 31,722 attendees. Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas hosted over 22,000 fans, while Broward County Stadium in Florida, despite weather challenges, welcomed over 4,000 spectators for the Pakistan vs. Ireland game.

The ICC reported a 370% increase in digital engagement from US-based users on their platforms, with 2.7 million people visiting the ICC website and app. Notably, 52% of these users were new fans, reflecting a burgeoning interest in cricket within the country. This spike in digital interaction underscores the sport’s expanding footprint in the US.

Future Prospects and Strategic Growth

Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events, expressed delight at the reception of the tournament in the US, emphasizing the country as a “priority area” for the ICC’s global growth strategy. The successful hosting sets a robust foundation for future cricketing events, including the anticipated inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
